At first, many runners want to achieve what very few people achieve: only one-tenth of one percent of the population finish either a half or a full marathon each year. After completing the training and the marathon, many runners break through mental confidence barriers and go on to accomplishing things they never thought possible before their finish. Finishing one of these events changes most lives for the better.
I look forward to seeing all of the first timers this weekend at the National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer!
I want to thank you for your book “Marathon” and the resources you offer. I have watched a transformation in my wife over the past year as she has prepared for the National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer. The tools you provided have enabled her to accomplish this amazing feat with confidence.
A race like this is amazing in the fact that Kristina would never have dreamed of running a marathon. However, after watching her mother battle and survive breast cancer, she was determined to fight as well.
Again thanks for all you have done to motivate people. Hope to see you this weekend.
I think taking on a challenge like a half marathon or a marathon can be a daunting task but if you take action you will be able to achieve this type of goal and feel good physically (endorphins) and mentally (sense of acomplishment).
