***************************

We're very excited to announce that the Jeff Galloway Training Program will be organizing the Official Pace Groups for this year's Marine Corps Marathon on October 26, 2003!

If you have a time goal for the Marine Corps Marathon, or you if you just want people to run with who are at your same pace, then our pacing teams are for you! There will be one or two qualified "Team Galloway Pacers" per designated time group to help make your marathon not only a fun, memorable race, but also get you to the finish line on time. You'll also have the opportunity to meet Galloway'ers from around the country!

Meet your Team Galloway Pacers. Check out their biographies, complete with photo and race strategy!

Meet your Pacers in person at the Pacing Clinic on Friday at 4:30 PM or Saturday at 10:30 AM.

  • All Pacers have been training on Jeff Galloway's 6-month Training Program. See sample schedules.
  • All Pacers are part of the Jeff Galloway Marathon Training Program, therefore, all pace groups will be utilizing the run/walk method.
  • For information on how walk breaks can help you run a stronger race and recover more quickly, see our walk break section.

Choosing your pace group. If you are unsure or need help choosing the best pace group for you, take at look at How to Predict Your Marathon Performance. Remember your "Team Galloway Pacers" have been instructed, and will be doing everything in their power to arrive just under their pace group time. For some of the larger groups, this may require some jostling and/or dodging people and/or other obstacles!

To be a part of a Team Galloway Pace Group, stop by the Galloway Pacing Booth. You will be able to pick up your information and your "Team Galloway Pacers" Bib Number (to be worn on your back).

Meet your Pacers at the Pacing Clinic on Friday at 4:30 PM or Saturday at 10:30 AM.

There is no cost to join a pace group. All members must bring a good joke, and must be willing to have fun!
