Whether you’re lacing up for the first time or you’ve logged hundreds of miles, our local training groups give you the support and structure to reach your goals. Runners around the world use the Galloway Run Walk Run method to build fitness, prevent injury, and actually enjoy the process.

When you train as a team, you share the tough days, celebrate the wins, and keep each other motivated when it matters most. You’ll give support and get it right back. And along the way, you’ll likely make friendships that last well beyond race day.

Galloway Jersey Shore Highlights

Highlights include Jeff’s seasonal Zoom visit where we get to spend personal time with him for sharing and Q&A. Then there are our runs, themselves, including our Born to Run Run, passing the house where Bruce Springsteen wrote his iconic album; our Count Basie Run where we go by his childhood home; our Train Run where we run our miles in one direction & take the train home (to name a few). But the most consistent highlight is the joy of one another as we train, eat, race and share our common bond in the joy of running & the gift of Jeff’s Run-Walk-Run method.

About Mark Van Sant

Mark has used the Galloway Method since 1995, having completed 27 marathons & 23 half marathons. He has been an RRCA certified coach since 2013, Program Director of Galloway Jersey Shore since 2016 and is a proud member of the Galloway Pacing Team.

A Message From Mark

Galloway Jersey Shore is a welcoming group of runners of various ages, experiences & abilities. We’re blessed with the beach & the ocean as our backdrop, running most frequently along the Long Branch Boardwalk. Our motto is, “No fun, no run!”, with each run carrying a unique theme.

About Jen Karweit

Jen discovered running as an adult and fell in love with the challenge and community it brought. After health setbacks changed her running journey, she found the Galloway Method, which helped her stay on the road and find new joy in the sport. Now, she loves helping others reach their goals one run-walk-run interval at a time.
