Whether you’re lacing up for the first time or you’ve logged hundreds of miles, our local training groups give you the support and structure to reach your goals. Runners around the world use the Galloway Run Walk Run method to build fitness, prevent injury, and actually enjoy the process.

When you train as a team, you share the tough days, celebrate the wins, and keep each other motivated when it matters most. You’ll give support and get it right back. About Karen Casko

I accidentally 9+1ed my way into the 2014 NYC Marathon (I had no ulterior motives when I signed up for the volunteer shift – I swear!). When I realized I’d have the opportunity to participate, it seemed like too highly coveted of an opportunity to to let pass. I’d heard so much about how you only need to train to 20 miles for a marathon, that the last 10K are mental. That sounded believable to me, but I knew I wanted (and would need!) mental training as well. I planned to train solo, assuming I wouldn’t find a group that was a good fit for me, but then found Galloway NYC and thought huh, other people – that sounds like way more fun (and WAY more likely to get done). My one and only goal that year was to finish upright and happy – check! I became a pace group leader the next year, joined the leadership team a couple years later, and eventually inherited the reins. Some years I run a marathon, some years I don’t, but I always love being around people who are taking on the challenge (or just thinking about it), especially first timers.
