WHAT THE HECK IS A RUNNING RETREAT?

“This is their vacation and you take them on endurance treks?”

On a flight to one of my weekend retreats, the guy next to me was curious about the book I was using to set up an outline for the weekend clinics and workouts. He had never run before and had gained a lot of weight since the swimming team days of his youth. When I described the outline of the book (RUN WALK EAT), which was the theme of the weekend of endurance workouts, he had a lot of questions. Six months later, he showed up at a weekend retreat, 25 pounds lighter than he was on that plane flight. He said that book had motivated him and now he was ready to learn more about how to train, eat, stay motivated and step up to the next training program.

What goes on at Jeff’s Beach Retreats

  •  Barb Galloway and I work with all levels of runners and walkers during motivational weekends in Blue Mountain Beach, FL. 
  • I teach classes on how to improve running form, endurance, speed, nutrition, and motivation while eliminating or reducing injuries and exhaustion.
  • Based upon the research from my 35 books and success data from over 500,000 clients
  • Illustrated by stories about lessons from my friends: Steve Prefontaine, Frank Shorter, Billy Mills and others.
  • Scenic white sand beaches, forest trails, loops around lakes
  • Time to explore the area—visit outlet mall, good restaurants, etc.
  • Each participant receives Jeff’s email address for questions after the retreat
