Marathon FAQ

Question: What is the principle behind the run-walk-run method?

Answer: This is a form of interval training and is directly tied to the conservation of resources: muscle, feet, joints, energy, fluids, etc. The continuous use of the running muscles will produce fatigue much more quickly. By inserting walk breaks as early and as often as needed, you can erase most of the fatigue with each walk break. The muscle and energy resources you conserve early will allow you to feel strong at the end of the run, and speed up the recovery.
