A Galloway Program Director is a passionate and dedicated leader who inspires and guides runners of all levels using the proven Run-Walk-Run method developed by Jeff Galloway. As the leader of a local Galloway Training Program, the Program Director is responsible for organizing and supporting a community of runners, ensuring each member reaches their goals while fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment.
Galloway Program Director Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Motivation: Provide guidance, support, and motivation to runners at all stages of their training journey, encouraging them to achieve their personal goals, whether it’s completing their first 5K or training for a marathon.
- Organizing Group Runs: Plan, schedule, and lead weekly group runs, ensuring routes are safe and accessible for all fitness levels.
- Educational Support: Teach the principles of the Galloway Run-Walk-Run method, focusing on injury prevention, pacing, and sustainable training techniques.
- Community Building: Foster a strong sense of camaraderie among participants, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for runners of all ages and abilities.
- Program Coordination: Manage program logistics, including setting up registration, communicating program details, and coordinating with other volunteers and coaches.
- Event Planning: Organize special events, races, and social gatherings to promote program engagement and celebrate achievements.
Galloway Program Director Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Passion for running and a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles through physical activity.
- Familiarity with the Galloway Run-Walk-Run method and experience in leading or participating in group training programs.
- Organizational skills to coordinate schedules, manage registrations, and ensure smooth program operation.
